TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey is home to one of most skilled workforces in the country. Many of these skilled workers have careers in the manufacturing field and are a central component of New Jersey’s economy. Assemblyman Hal Wirths understands how important manufacturing industries are to New Jersey and has created a resolution to make sure their hard work is recognized.
Wirth’s resolution would designate the first week of October of each year as Manufacturing Week.
“We should recognize the important role the manufacturing industry plays in New Jersey,” stated Wirths (R-Sussex). “The manufacturing industry provides many highly skilled New Jerseysans with jobs. The industry also creates many technological advancements and is a vital component of our economy.”
The General Assembly voted 78-1.
