Vietnam veterans honored by Sussex lawmakers before county St. Patrick’s Day parade

FRANKLIN, N.J. – Assemblyman Parker Space presented the Wallkill Valley chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America with a special joint legislative resolution congratulating its members who were chosen to serve as grand marshals of the Sussex County St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16 in Newton.

“We wouldn’t be what we are in this country if it wasn’t for our veterans and we have to thank them every single day for what they have done,” said Space (R-Sussex) at the luncheon. “You guys are the best.”

Space presented the resolution, which was also sponsored by Sen. Steve Oroho and Assemblyman Hal Wirths of the 24th Legislative District, at a luncheon hosted by the parade committee to honor the grand marshals at the Irish Cottage Inn in Franklin.
