TRENTON, N.J. – The child care tax credit fix, reinstating the bear hunt, putting police back at polling places, New Jersey Democrats have had to pass a lot of clean-up laws this year, because of their messy policies. Assembly Republicans reflect on legislation that ran afoul, despite their warnings, thanks to reject-and-regret Democrats in the latest episode of “<Three.”
Reina Smrdelj, a legislative analyst at the Assembly Republican Office, says flip-flopping Democrats keep dishing up the bad proposals that waste time, money and resources. Republicans would rather skip the second helpings and get it right the first time.
