Torrissi goes from trucking to Trenton, says he’s not giving up on Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. – Newly elected Assemblyman and life-long Hammonton resident Mike Torrissi doesn’t want to leave the state of New Jersey. The owner of Torrissi Transport, a successful petroleum trucking company, Torrissi sees his role in the legislature as an opportunity to make New Jersey a better place to grow a business and raise a family. “At the end of the day, what do we care about the most? The safety and security of our families and our checkbooks. There is no reason why we shouldn’t be the center of whatever industry it is. You can’t beat New Jersey. I don’t want to leave the state of New Jersey,” Torrissi said.

Torrissi and his wife Katie live with their daughter Sophia near his childhood family farm. He represents legislative district 8, which includes parts of Atlantic, Burlington and Camden counties.
