CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, N.J. – In honor of all New Jerseyans who have been serving as essential workers and abiding by stay-at-home orders during the coronavirus pandemic, Assemblyman Erik Simonsen is performing a free Facebook Live concert on Thursday, April 16 at 6 p.m.
“I have been so impressed by how our residents have stepped up to the plate to battle the coronavirus. Whether they are on our frontlines as doctors or nurses or now homeschooling their children, everyone deserves a little break to just enjoy some music,” said Simonsen (R-Cape May).
A singer and songwriter for more than two decades, Simonsen is the front man of his band Twelve:01. Over the years he has performed with acclaimed artists such as They May Be Giants, Nils Lofgren of the E Street Band, Edwin McCain, Jewel and many others. He has also been featured on compilation CDs with artists like Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and George Thorogood.
Simonsen will perform some popular covers along with his original music. To watch, visit his Facebook page at facebook.com/erik.k.simonsen. It will also be shared on the NJ Assembly GOP page at facebook.com/NJAssemblyGOP. The concert will last for approximately one hour.
