TRENTON, N.J. – One of the Assembly’s most knowledgeable members on health care, Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, released a video today promoting National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, Wednesday, Sept. 25.
“I am urging women and their support systems to take an active role in women’s health. Not just today, National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, but every day going forward because the health of our families and communities is directly tied to the health of women,” said Munoz (R-Union).
Munoz sits on the Assembly Women and Children as well as the Health and Senior Services committees. Her nursing career spanned more than 35 years and included positions at some of the most prestigious hospitals in the region. She practiced at Massachusetts General in Boston – the original and largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, Memorial-Sloan Kettering in New York City – the second best cancer treatment center in the nation, and surgical intensive care at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
