TRENTON, N.J. – The state Assembly Republican Office continued its summer biography series Tuesday by releasing a second feature, this time highlighting Assemblywoman Jean Stanfield.

Following in the footsteps of her grandmother, who worked for Govs. Alfred Driscoll, Robert Meyner and Richard Hughes, Stanfield sought a life of public service.
She became the first female sheriff of Burlington County in 2001 and was successfully re-elected to the post for six terms before stepping down in 2019. She was elected later that year to represent Atlantic, Burlington and Camden counties as Assemblywoman in the 8th Legislative District.
Later this week, Assembly Republicans plan to release a mini biography about Cape May Assemblyman Erik Simonson.
