DiMaio: Democrat Budget is Rearranging Chairs on the Titanic

TRENTON, N.J. – Assemblyman John DiMaio, the Republican budget officer, spoke about how the Democrats have spent $5 billion more since Murphy took office and yet pensions are still underfunded this year by $1.6 billion, schools are still underfunded by $1 billion, and property taxes are still the biggest problem for New Jerseyans yet are completely unaddressed.

“With five-billion dollars, we should have been able to be more aggressive with that,” DiMaio (R-Warren) said about fully funding schools. “Then force that money to go back to reduce local tax levies and help our local property taxpayers.”
