DeCroce joins Piscopo in push to ‘Unlock New Jersey’

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce joined Joe Piscopo on New York City’s AM970 Monday to talk about the unintended consequences of Gov. Phil Murphy’s shutdown of most New Jersey businesses while explaining her plan for a safe reopening of the economy.

“We have a very predictable chain reaction happening with the economy,” explained DeCroce (R-Morris). “The ports of New York and New Jersey are having a serious problem right now.”

DeCroce said that ships coming in but have no place to take their products which is paralyzing shipments at the port because Murphy has kept most state businesses closed.

DeCroce led a group of Morris County business owners last week seeking to get Murphy to speed up his reopening plan.

The group, called “Unlock New Jersey,” also presented Murphy with a timeline and guidance including provisions for monitoring for any outbreaks as businesses engage in a safe, staggered reopening while moving toward a fully operational state economy.
