WESTFIELD, N.J. – Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick credited the quick response by law enforcement for the arrest of a Delaware man Thursday armed with a handgun outside an elementary school after classes were dismissed for the day.
“This is law enforcement at its best,” said Bramnick (R-Union). “Great coordination between police departments from different states put this gunman behind bars. Our community thanks them.”
Westfield Police found the man in a car in the Tamaques Elementary School lot just before 4 p.m. after having been alerted by the Delaware State Police.
