TRENTON, N.J. – Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick is calling for Gov. Phil Murphy to allow libraries to reopen while adhering to recommended safety guidelines.
Jon Bramnick“It is disappointing that Governor Murphy will not set a date to reopen libraries while retailers, hair salons and barbers are all working toward opening dates,” said Bramnick. “Libraries should be allowed to start allowing staff to work on a staggered schedule, while maintaining social distancing, and begin providing curbside pick-up just as restaurants other businesses have been doing.”
Murphy ordered the mandatory closure of all libraries in the state on March 21, including those that at all public and private colleges and universities.
