TRENTON, N.J. – Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick is calling on President Joe Biden to designate Union, Morris and Essex counties major disaster areas from the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Ida.
“The flooding that took place last week caused untold damage,” said Bramnick (R-Union). “Residents of these counties are unable to apply for federal assistance and that must be fixed immediately.”
President Biden declared Bergen, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Passaic and Somerset counties disaster areas on Sept. 3. The declaration allows residents, businesses and local governments to apply for grants and low cost loans.
