TRENTON, N.J. – Assemblyman Kevin J. Rooney (R-Bergen) today announced that Ishan Shah will serve as chief of staff to his legislative office.

I look forward to working with him as I continue to fight for the hardworking families of 40th Legislative District and throughout New Jersey.”

A native of North Bergen, Shah previously served as director of strategic initiatives to Bob Hugin’s U.S. senate campaign overseeing outreach to non-traditional groups and community leaders. Prior to working for Hugin, Shah served in the office of the governor for four years under Gov. Chris Christie and as legislative aide to Assemblyman Erik Peterson.
Shah currently resides in Old Bridge. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
