A link to New Jersey’s past, a mission to make a difference – a lawmaker’s story

TRENTON, N.J. – With a lineage tracing back to the first proprietors of the state of New Jersey and the first Assembly in 1703, Assemblyman Ned Thomson’s mini biography released today provides a unique look at the actuary turned lawmaker.

From helping those less fortunate by donating the fish he caught with his father off the coast of Avon, to fighting to save New Jersey’s pension system as a member of the Assembly since 2017, Thomson has made it his mission to make a difference in the lives of others.

The life-long resident of Monmouth County and Assembly Republican whip represents parts of Monmouth and Ocean counties in the 30th Legislative District.
